Our Story

A message from Bonnie:

People often ask me why I started Achieva Educational Services. I started Achieva in 2006 as both a 1-1 Tutoring business and an After School Educational Business. I started this business so that students could learn from their teachers as well as from each other in a multi-age environment.

Achieva Educational Services After School Programs began in order to provide a uniquely creative approach to bridging the elementary and junior high school systems and ensure seamless movement for students between these grade levels. Achieva’s focus is FUN, and our first mandate was to build creative minds to ensure that all core subject areas were enhanced through creativity and fun. Since 2006, Achieva has developed extensive curriculum documents and programming to include:

A Tutoring Business that has expanded from one tutor to approx. 35 tutors who tutor both on site and online from various parts of Canada and France.

Conversational/Grammatical/Cultural French Immersion skill development, Language Arts enrichment, Math skills to promote problem solving and focus, Science to encourage formation and teamwork, Art for creative development, focus and collaboration, Theatre Arts to expand on confidence and creativity, Physical Education to promote fun and movement, teamwork and overall healthy lifestyle skills. Achieva also instils an “attitude of gratitude” among children through our “Giving Back to the Community” initiative via Acts of Kindness. Achieva’s administration tallies and matches each school’s “Act of Kindness” totals to support local charities and non-profits in our community. In doing so, we hope to promote positive citizenship through giving to others.
